Postcards from the Edge: A Compassion Fatigue Workshop

Posted in Speaking Events, Workshops on January 22, 2014

Compassion Fatigue is a term that people in health care are getting to know. It names an experience many are deeply familiar with, about the impact on the health care provider of responding to suffering. On January 23, 2014, as part of my work as Poet in Residence at Mount Sinai hospital, I am offering a workshop for health care workers to address compassion fatigue. It will be a place for expression and creativity.  It’ll be brief. We’ll do this through writing. Notes.
