Rx for Poetry goes to Venice

I had the the unexpected opportunity to do Rx for Poetry at a fundraiser in Venice, Italy.

Here I was prescribing poems to locals and guests who were there to support efforts to save the rhinoceros from being poached for its horn. There is a long standing connection between the animal and the city, both perched on the edge of fragility in their ability to survive the drive for consumption. The event was organized by Melbourne Historian Catherine Kovesi in support of the upcoming symposium in Venice. Rhinoceros: Luxury's Fragile Frontier.
